EXPANDING COMPASSION: NEW IDEAS FOR ONLINE & GLOBAL STUDENT OUTREACH AND SERVICE PROGRAMS (ADL Friday Forum on Formation 5)

Expanding Compassion:
New Ideas about Student Outreach and Service Programs

Friday Forum on Faith & Values Formation
(July 10, 2020)

This forum featured three resource persons who discussed new possibilities for student outreach and service programs. Each of them discussed a pressing issue and a “wicked” problem–refugees, environment, and Philippine public education–and possibilities of engaging and education our students on them. These three concerns represent three of the Jesuit Universal Apostolic Preferences–namely, Walking with the Marginalized, Caring for the Environment, and Accompanying the Youth.

We thank our resource speakers: Louie Bacomo (Director, Jesuit Refugee Service – Asia Pacific), Sylvia Miclat (Director, Institute of Environmental Science for Social Progress), and Solvie Nubla-Lee (Director, Pathways for Education).

Here is Part 1 featuring Louie Bacomo’s and Sylvia Miclat’s presentations.

This is Part 2 with Solvie Nubla-Lee’s talk and the Q&A that followed.
