Welcome to the Do-it-Yourself Canvas Tutorial!
On this page, we’ve created a library of step-by-step tutorials to guide you as you build your course on the Canvas LMS. Before you begin, here are some things you might want to do first:
1. Set-up a free canvas account. Here’s how.
2. Set-up your digital workspace. To make the most of your DIY experience, it would be best to have the tutorials open while your canvas account is open as well. Here are a few ways to do this:
Option A
Open this tutorial on your phone, then work on Canvas on your laptop (We’ve designed the tutorial cards to be mobile-friendly).
Option B
Use split screen mode so you can have the tutorial on one side
and Canvas on the other.
Option C
Keep two tabs open, one with the tutorial and the other
with your Canvas account, so you can switch
from on page to another as needed.
3. Get started. Create your first course!
